These Community Guidelines explain what is and is not allowed on EEPSKI!. They sit alongside our Terms of Use and apply to everyone using the Service, including from the UK and the EU.
We want public conversation that is robust, including criticism of ideas, public figures and our own product. We do not want the Service used to cause real-world harm, to silence people through abuse, or to evade the law. Enforcement may include limiting distribution, a temporary suspension (posts hidden from feeds and search) or a permanent suspension.
1. Illegal content
Do not post content that is illegal in the United Kingdom. That includes, without limitation:
- child sexual abuse material, grooming, or any sexual content involving anyone 17 or under — we will report this to the authorities;
- terrorism content as defined in UK law, including material that invites support for a proscribed organisation;
- extreme pornography, revenge porn, and intimate images shared without consent;
- fraud, scams, and other financial crime;
- assisting suicide or serious self-harm as a criminal offence;
- hate crime, harassment, stalking, and malicious communications;
- copyright or other IP infringement after a valid notice, and trafficking in stolen data.
EU users must also respect illegal-content rules that apply in their member state. We will remove illegal content when we become aware of it.
2. Abuse and harassment
Do not target people with unwanted sexual content, threats of violence, repeated insults designed to humiliate, or coordinated pile-ons. Robust debate is allowed; persecuting a private individual is not. We give extra weight to reports from the person being targeted, and to abuse based on race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, gender reassignment or other protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010.
3. Integrity and authenticity
Do not operate fake accounts, bots, or engagement rings to manipulate Community Signal, trending topics, or search. Do not impersonate another person or organisation in a way that is likely to mislead. Parody and satire are allowed if they are reasonably obvious.
Do not scrape the Service in a way that overloads it, bypasses technical limits, or rebuilds our user graph for a competing product without permission.
4. Privacy
Do not share someone’s home address, private phone number, private medical information, or other intimate personal data without a lawful reason. “Exposing” a private person is not a public interest licence.
5. Spam and platform misuse
Do not flood timelines with repetitive commercial messages, malware, or misleading links. Do not circumvent a suspension by creating new accounts. Temporary and permanent bans are account-level restrictions; evading them is itself a breach.
6. Media
Mark or avoid graphic violence where the Service provides tools to do so. Do not post non-consensual intimate imagery. You must have the right to upload media you attach to posts.
7. How we enforce
We review reports and may act on our own initiative. Typical steps, depending on severity and history:
- remove or limit a post;
- temporary suspension — a notice appears on the profile and posts are hidden from feeds and search;
- permanent suspension — the same hiding rules, without an expected end date;
- referral to law enforcement where required.
We aim to be proportionate. A first-time spam post is not treated like a credible threat. If we get a decision wrong you can ask for a review at legal@eepski.com. For illegal-content reports we will acknowledge and follow up in line with our Online Safety Act duties.
8. Your part
Use report tools in good faith. False or vexatious mass-reporting to silence someone else can itself lead to enforcement. If you see something that puts someone in immediate danger, contact emergency services first, then tell us.
